Early in the morning on Friday, the Byram Hills Central School District notified North Castle Police of a complainant involving the employee, prompting an investigation of the alleged threat.

Following the investigation, Matthew Martorana, 51, of Port Chester was charged with making a terrorist threat, a Class D felony, North Castle Police said.

He is due to reappear in town court on Oct. 22.

Police said no further information is now available that the matter is still under investigation by law enforcement.
